Last week, Apolitical published its Quarterly Global Insights Report on How climate is changing everyone's job in government. Apolitical is a global platform connecting public servants and policymakers from around the world.

The report highlights that in this crucial decade for climate action, Government is an essential actor, and in order to design and deliver the multidimensional climate policies required, we need to build public servants capacity to act.

It also concludes that a whole-of-government approach is needed for climate action, and more teams and departments across all levels of government need to prioritise climate action as a critical part of their work.

As part of the report, P4P Chair Baroness Hayman reflects on how understanding climate essentials will help accelerate climate action.

“The UK’s contribution in responding to the climate crisis will be measured not just in the quantity of emissions we reduce, but in the quality of the vision, innovation and leadership we provide."
