On 21 April Lord Teverson led a debate in the House of Lords on the need to have an integrated approach to policy-making in both national and local governments to achieve net zero carbon emissions in the UK.

Peers from across the House raised points to the minister across myriad issues which require tackling for the UK to reach its legally binding targets of net zero by 2050, and reducing emissions by 78% by 2035.

You can catch up on the debate in full here.

“The UK’s contribution in responding to the climate crisis will be measured not just in the quantity of emissions we reduce, but in the quality of the vision, innovation and leadership we provide."
