Peers secured an amendment to the Judicial Review and Courts Bill which removes proposed changes to the Judicial Review process which could have weakened the remedies available to judges when deciding on environmental cases and led to environmentally damaging and unlawful decisions being allowed to stand. Following a debate in the House of Lords Peers voted for an amendment which removed part of clause 1 of the Bill which proposed these changes and the Government accepted the amendment.
